TURKEY TAIL

A multicoloured delight, this mushroom’s name was formed as its shape resembles that of a Turkey’s tail. Alongside its colourful appearance, this mushroom possesses multiple properties that have been known to benefit specific ailments and overall health and wellness.

Cancer:

This mushroom specifically contains the compound polysaccharide-K (PSK) and polysaccharide peptide (PSP) that have been studied for their potential anti-cancer effects. Some research has shown that these compounds may help boost the immune system's ability to fight cancer cells. In Japan PSK is an approved treatment for cancer that is used in conjunction with other cancer treatments.

Antioxidants and Immunity:

Turkey Tail contains polysaccharides that have been shown to help stimulate the immune system and increase production of white blood cells, which can help your body fight off infections and diseases. It’s also a rich source of antioxidants that may help reduce inflammation throughout the body.

Gut Health:

Its natural prebiotic fibres may help promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, which supports healthy digestion and nutrient absorption. Some studies have also suggested that Turkey Tail may help protect against gut-related issues like leaky gut syndrome.

Aging:

With a rich source of antioxidants, this mushroom may help protect the body from free radicals that can damage cells and contribute to aging. Some studies have also suggested that Turkey Tail may have neuroprotective effects that help support healthy brain function as you age.
